A prominent Dutch printmaker in Auckland in the 1950’s and 1960’s, Hos and his wife immigrated to New Zealand in the 1950’s. He opened the New Vision Craft Center in 1957, and later on in 1965 the New Vision Gallery. During this time the Hoses were at the forefront of dealing applied arts in New Zealand. Hos worked as a printmaker and sparked this movement through classes that he took at the Gallery along with his own work.
